Catherine Rajwani is an intellectual property (IP) lawyer and a registered patent attorney. Ms. Rajwani handles a full range of IP issues in her practice including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes, portfolio evaluation and protection, and patent license transactions. She has participated in all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through trial and appeal, in federal courts throughout the country. She has handled numerous trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Rajwani also handles federal and state court complex business litigation matters and is well versed in alternate dispute resolution proceedings.

Ms. Rajwani graduated in the top 5% of her class at Baylor Law School and served as a law clerk to the Honorable David C. Godbey, United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She has a degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University and worked as a process and project engineer at a prominent chemical and gas company prior to entering law school. She was named a Texas Rising Star by the Texas Super Lawyers publication and a New England Rising Star in both the New England Super Lawyers publication and Boston magazine. Ms. Rajwani was honored as a 40 under 40 recipient by the Worcester Business Journal based on career successes, community involvement and commitment to making a difference.

  • Successfully enforced wireless mesh patents against various infringers in U.S. District Courts in California, Delaware, and Colorado.
  • Obtained summary judgment of patent infringement for a manufacturing tool designer in U.S. District Court (Massachusetts).
  • Defended real estate services company against allegations of patent infringement, ultimately resulting in a successful business partnership with patent owner.
  • Assisted software analytics company in purchase of patent and enforcement of intellectual property and contractual rights.
  • Successfully defended mobile application provider as a defendant in a patent infringement action in U.S. District Court (Delaware).

  • Represented nutrition/supplement provider in three opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Successfully represented a consumer products distributor in the cancellation of three trademarks before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
